Thanks to its compact design, the WEKO-CoatingTower can be easily integrated into existing cast extrusion or blown film lines. Coatings on polyester and polyolefin films have never been so easy and precise. The dryer capacity is adjusted to the respective liquid quantity.
The application modules consist of contactless rotor spray systems - the WEKO-SIGMA rotor carriers. In addition to their non-contact application, these are characterized by their high precision, uniformity and reproducibility.
The application fluid is fed to fast rotating rotor plates almost without pressure. There, it is accelerated and guided uniformly to the edge of the rotor disc by centrifugal force. At the edge of the rotor disc, liquid threads are formed which, by overcoming the cohesive forces, mechanically separate into a stream of uniform micro-droplets which are applied to the web. Special covers create precise spray fans. To achieve the required spray format, several rotor discs are installed side by side in the WEKO rotor carrier.
A frequency controlled pump provides 100% speed compensation and an automatic shutter keeps the system in standby mode to remain fully available if your machine shuts down for a moment or if it is still in preparation mode.
