In our WEKO TechnologyCenter we not only offer process tests outside your production, but also tests for sprayability of the liquor to be applied and material resistance.
As an additional option, WEKO offers a selection of formats in the rental equipment area, with which you can carry out preliminary tests on your own laboratory and production equipment.
WEKO is in constant exchange with the chemical industry in various sectors, carries out regular liquor tests and can therefore also advise you on fluid selection. We give you investment security for your decision!

Fluid test
To ensure that the WEKO system achieves optimum results, we offer a fluid test (sprayability test) for preliminary clarification. This standardized test can largely determine the compatibility of the process liquid with the system.
With the WEKO Float Test, the basic usability of a liquid in the WEKO system is examined within the framework of a short-term test. The test does not relieve the user from performing his own tests and real assessments.
The application system is particularly suitable for the application of low-viscosity, water-based fluids (e.g. water, lotions, softeners, antistatic, antiblock, antifog,…) on fabric webs or continuously moving goods.
Requirements for the fluid test
- 3 liters of ready-to-use mixture or concentrate for 3 liters of fluid (liquor).
- Completed questionnaire with information on concentration or mixing ratio and intended use.
- Safety data sheet with hazard information
- Technical data sheet with information on the intended use before sending the liquid by E-Mail
- Disposal instructions or return of the test fluid
Requirements for fluids suitable for WEKO
- Water soluble, even after drying (redispersible) or washable with alternative non-explosive surfactant
- Non-explosive
- Rather <100 mPa-s at 20°C
- Max. Temperature 60°C
- Shear stable
- None, max. low foaming (if necessary suitable defoamer)
- No flocculation or churning
- Electrically conductive
- It is also possible to work with non-electrically conductive fluids, but then a Coriolis flowmeter must be used
Tests at our pilot line
At our headquarters in Leinfelden-Echterdingen, a pilot plant is available for you in our WEKO TechnologyCenter.
We can implement tests in our WEKO-TechnologyCenter together with you outside of your current production. Application trials with the pilot plant are possible on the intended web (max. 500mm width) with different rotor carriers for one-sided or double-sided application of the fluid.
We can also change different parameters during or after the trials to achieve the desired result, for this purpose our WEKO-TechnologyCenter staff will also help you to find both technical and chemical solutions.
In our pilot plant you can also use a RotaSpray system which can be used after consultation. With the RotaDyer also experiments in the field of dyeing can be carried out.
