WEKO-SiliCon
Siliconization

Surface protection with WEKO-SiliCon

Marking and smearing of not completely dried ink on heavily coated papers is prevented by adding a small amount of silicone emulsion. The WEKO-S1 silicone emulsion is not permanently visible on the printed products, but enables excellent finishing, especially with inline finishing solutions.
With WEKO-SiliCon you can easily combine the advantages of WEKO-DigiCon rewetting with the additional protection of the surface in one pass. Prepare your digital print production for the future and impress your customers with perfect, flat-lying print products and optimal folding quality.

WEKO-SiliCon

Mode of operation

The WEKO-SiliCon is an upstream auxiliary unit in the fresh water supply line to the WEKO-DigiCon rewetting unit and can be retrofitted at any time without any problems. It has an adjustable metering unit with suction lance. Different suction lances are available for different silicone storage tank sizes (20L / 200L / 600L / 1000L). When the WEKO-DigiCon reaches the set minimum tank level in your own storage tank, a solenoid valve opens the fresh water supply line until the tank is back to maximum level. The WEKO-SiliCon dosing unit is located in this supply line and automatically adds the required amount of silicone emulsion to the fresh water supply. It also has a supply tank control and signals a possible necessary silicon supply tank exchange. The silicone dosing can be switched on and off, since not every print job requires siliconization.
