To make textile production more sustainable and to reduce the consumption of fresh/waste water, chemicals, energy and waste is the goal.

TOGEHTER TOWARDS A MORE SUSTAINABLE TEXTILE INDUSTRY!

Making finishing processes more environmentally friendly
- with new and innovative technology -

Because the finishing method that is unfortunately old style, but still very widespread, is the padder/foulard.
In addition to its high flexibility, it is a well-known application method for machine operators due to its decades-long implementation. Everyone knows it and knows how it works. But is it really cutting-edge technology?
The Padder/Foulard also comes with many disadvantages because it is a full contact system (dip and squeeze):
- Fleet contamination and tailing (longitudinal drains).
- center-side variations
- only double-sided application possible
- permanent full penetration - high pick-up from 50-130%.
- high required drying capacity due to high pick-up
- mechanical stress on the fabric
- frequent downtimes due to draining/filling during recipe changes
- high consumption of chemicals and water

The revolution in textile finishing - contactless minimum application The contactless minimum application of WEKO fluid application systems (WFA) combines cost efficiency and resource conservation.
The supply units WEKO-BASIC and WEKO-FLOW combined with the minimal application system WEKO-SIGMA , WEKO-ProTec or WEKO-NEO rotor carriers are the best economical alternative to the classic finishing methods.

The necessary pick-up is only 10-35%, thus reducing the high drying energy and your carbon footprint. WEKO-NEO.

Due to the contactless, uniform application, there is no tailing or listing and you get an excellent reproducible quality. Single-sided, double-sided or different functions per side can be applied. The penetration level can also be influenced and adapted to the respective application. The high fleet flexibility** and a wide viscosity spectrum ensure versatile use.

Where can you use the non-contact minimum application?
Installed in the infeed or outfeed of stenter frames, in pad-steam lines or coating lines, WEKO liquid application systems (WFA) enable higher speeds and thus increase productivity in woven and knitted fabrics. The exact pre-dosing of the WFA guarantees highest process reliability and reproducible sequences. The application of small quantities of liquid for fine functional layers can be precisely controlled via the droplet size.

With the accessories WEKO-Cut-it, WEKO-Glue-it and WEKO-Spread-it textile production processes can be further optimized. They enable trouble-free production, reduce machine soiling, minimize material losses and thus ensure maximum productivity and profitability.
